TEKSERVE POS, LLC Introduces the 1301 Wombat® Keyboard
Eagan, MN – Tekserve POS, LLC, a leading provider of POS-technology solutions, introduces the 1301 Wombat® keyboard with an integrated magnetic stripe reader. The 116-key, programmable keyboard is designed to seamlessly integrate with IBM SurePOS™ and 4694 POS platform as well as any other PC cash drawer system while offering significant cost savings, functionality and warranty over other competitive keyboards on the market.
The Tekserve POS 1301 Wombat® keyboard features 55 programmable keys in four layers, an easy-to-use Windows®-based programming utility, PS/2 interface, integrated I/II track MSR (optional 3-track), optional barcode port and is compatible with DOS, Windows® 98, 2000 and XP. In addition, the keyboard features a membrane key switch technology rated to 10 million actuations making the keyboard extremely durable in harsh retail environments.
This keyboard is the result of a joint partnership with Key Source International and Tekserve POS. “Up until now, Tekserve POS has primarily been a supplier of new and refurbished POS equipment and services. That all changed when a customer of ours had a need for a lower-cost keyboard that would integrate with the IBM legacy system” explains John Pruban, president of Tekserve POS. “We decided, with the help of Key Source International, to design our own keyboard. The result is an extremely durable keyboard that not only integrates with the IBM legacy system, but any PC cash drawer system, and the cost is considerably less than anything already on the market.”
