Key Source International was established in 1979 as a division of United Plastics Corporation (founded in 1953). At that time, our primary manufacturing was key tops for keyboards. Our customer base was centered in Silicon Valley (San Jose), California. The first ever Apple keytops were made in our factory. We also made keytops for Atari, Texas Instruments, Boeing, Hewlett-Packard, and many more.

Over the past 15 years, we have made the gradual transition to becoming a supplier of high-end custom keyboards. This market place has grown and will continue to grow as the PC becomes an increasingly more powerful and specialized work tool.

Key Source International has served such high profile clients as NCR, AT&T, Delta, Continental, Southwest Airlines, Men's Wearhouse, Radio Shack, Hallmark Cards, IBM, Unisys, Motorola, Baxter Health Care, and Bell Canada. As evidenced by our long-term customers, Key Source International emphasizes lasting business relationships.

Through the years, we have grown to become an international company. We have established a sales office in Melbourne, Australia, and a procurement and engineering facility in Taipei City, Taiwan.

Key Source International has also been involved as a leader in compliance of the Bell Core OSSGR specification for?Ergonomics of DAS (directory assistance service) workstations. In addition, we were part of a consulting committee which helped establish the ergonomics for telecom-Australia and their communications workers.
